Launching a New Committee: PFAS and Emerging Contaminants
Join us on February 11 at 9:00 a.m. for a virtual meeting and help us articulate an action agenda for how New Jersey should address PFAS and Emerging Contaminants. The committee’s primary goal is to educate and inform decision makers, community partners, residents, and ratepayers on the complexities of PFAS and emerging contaminants, including scientific understanding, regulatory landscapes, financial implications, and collaborative strategies for mitigation and remediation across New Jersey’s drinking water and wastewater systems. The final deliverable will be a white paper that includes policy recommendations, planned actions, and commitments from key stakeholders. We need YOUR help to inform the report.
The committee’s co-chairs are Amy Goldsmith, New Jersey State Director, Clean Water Action, and Ali Pajooman, P.E., Program Manager, Veolia North America. Leadership for this committee also includes utility representatives Donald C. Shields, P.E., Vice President and Director of Engineering, New Jersey American Water, and Patricia Lindsay-Harvey, Commissioner, Willingboro Municipal Utility Authority.
