June 8-Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) Projects and Stormwater Utilities: Stormwater utilities can provide a dedicated, stable revenue stream for CSO projects by focusing on runoff management instead of general municipal funds. They use an equitable user-fee model, often based on impervious surface area, that includes contributions from tax-exempt properties, such as nonprofits and schools. On June 8, the CSO committee will hold a special meeting with Prabha Kumar from Black & Veatch and Dana Paterson Grear from Princeton Hydro. Prabha and Dana are co-chairs of the Stormwater Utility (SWU) subcommittee.
